All involved universities and institutions are committed to diversity and equal opportunity and have established over the past years a broad set of measures to improve openness and equal opportunity. However, specially in physics, we are still facing challenges that we want to actively address, such as the low number of female scientists remaining in research positions.

Mentoring programs

We will make use of the institutional measures established at the participating universities and institutions such as childcare facilities, family services providing advice and support to all university members with care responsibilities, dual career services, welcome services and mentoring programs. Some examples of mentoring programs are plan.m at U Bremen, Mentoring Hessen at U Frankfurt, dynaMENT at U Hamburg, or SCIENTIA Mentoring at U Würzburg.
